This is another purchase I made while looking for something to spend my money on that would keep me from doing homework, and it generally paid off.  Kite is about a couple of young assassins who run around and get contracted to kill people by their evil benefactors.

            The animation and artwork of Kite is both good and bad.  Good because the actual animation is very well done, everything is nice and smooth and also well drawn.  Bad because of things like the bright, somewhat unrealistic coloring and super ketchup blood.

            BUT, the action sequences are very well done and, although our two little assassins are bad asses, we see that they are definitely not invincible, which I like, I mean come on, they’re just kids.  The music… I can’t remember, mostly because one scene in the movie overpowers most everything else, MAGICAL INFLATING BOOBIES!  Yes!  Not only do we have crazy ninja action, but we also get a look at magical inflating boobies (sigh).  I mean come on, the girl is about what?  16?  And when she’s wearing clothes it seems like she IS about that age, but during the 10 or so seconds of one scene where you see her nekked, her breast quadruple in size!  SWEET LORD HELP US!  Makes me want to find a Japanese girlfriend…  If that weren’t bad enough, while she’s nekked, she talks about having to study for a test tomorrow.  Yep, if you’re a dirty old man, it’s hard to do better than a young, naked schoolgirl with giant breasts eh?  Damned dirty old men…

            But yeah, aside from that and the issues I have with the coloring and blood, the action is great, the plot interesting, the animation well done and I fucking love the ending!

Genre - action

Animation - great animation and well detailed

Sub vs. Dub - the sub is much better than the dub

the Good - great animation, good plot, great action, didn't go crazy with the boobs as they might have, love the ending

the Bad - didn't like the coloring that much, inflatable boobs are confusing for me, the blood and exploding body parts wasn't too well done

Overall - better than I expected, and I think I'm being a little harsh on the coloring thing because I got spoiled with Blood
