Ninja Cadets… when you here that, what does it bring to mind?  Ninjas?  It did for me, and I must say that I didn’t see much ninja action at all in this show.  Hell, I saw more ninja action in Phantom Quest Corps.  I must say this before I continue though, the reasons I think this anime isn’t very good may relate to the fact that the show seems to be a prime candidate for being based off of a manga, which would explain a lot.  If it isn’t based on manga, then it’s just not very good.

            The show is about a bunch of ninja cadets who go searching for scrolls in a test to allow them to be considered full ninjas.  While the animation is pretty good and the artwork and mainly character designs are very good, that doesn’t make up for the fact that very little is explained about what the hell is going on.  Most of the time, there were no explanations as to how things worked, like as to how scrolls can turn people into different creatures.  That’s the other thing, instead of having lots of ninja action, the cadets were always either fighting giant monsters or turning into giant monsters to fight giant monsters.  They should have called the show “Super Transforming Non-Ninja Cadets”.

            Yeah, the show made little sense, had very little ninja action and was only two episodes long, so nothing really happened to further any plot.  Of course, some of this might be explained in the sub, but I don’t really feel like watching the show again.
