My first class of the new semester starts in about 5 hours and I’m
bored off my ass right now, so I guess it’s time to catch up on reviews!
Shinesman is what I call a good show.
It is reminiscent of the Power Rangers, in so many ways that you could
probably say that Shinesman IS the Power Rangers in anime form, except for one
key difference, Shinesman is good. Yeah,
that’s pretty much the story, Power Rangers stuff, except instead of overage
high school students, the super heroes are business executives and the such, as
are the super villains.
The animation was actually a bit better than I expected, not saying that
it was spectacular… The artwork
was about what I expected from what I’d heard about the show also. What I didn’t like was that there were only two episodes,
which leads me to believe that this was either a pilot attempt to see how well
the show would do before making more episodes, or, more likely, it was taken
from manga. In either case, the
show was generally well done and pretty funny.
Notice the relative shortness of the review?
That’s because I’m bored and have 3 more reviews I plan on writing
right now.
Genre
- action/superhero/comedy
Animation
- while the animation and artwork is mostly just average, it's
smooth animation, and that's good
Sub
vs. Dub - the sub is quite a bit better
the
Good - it's funny, good action, acceptable animation
the
Bad - didn't really like the super buddy buddy relationship between
the brothers, I want more of this show, as it seemed to end as things were just
getting started, since there's only 2 episodes
Overall
- it may not have the best animation in the world, but as most old school
gamers understand, Fallout 2 is FAR better than Black & White (function over
form) (quality is more important than quantity) |
